The Midwest Chapter of the Music Library Association will be meeting
` in Lexington next week? October l3 and 14. The sessions on Friday,
· October l3, will be held at the Hyatt Regency in the Washington/
San Francisco Room. The topics for the first session (9:30—ll:3O am)
~ are "Music Library Public Relations and Outreaoh" and "Public Music ·
Libraries in Denmarko" The second session (2:3@~4:3O pm) will
g include "The Appalachian Collection at Berea College" and "Shaker‘
Music and Manuscript Hymnals." The Saturday session (9:3U~ll am) is
scheduled for the Gallery in King North and will feature the Alfred
Cortot Collection. David Farrell from our staff and Charles Lord
from the School of Music will discuss some of the most interesting
titles from this group of early music theory booksr
