FOREWORD

The Department of Education publishes the “Kentucky School
Directory” as a service to the people of the Commonwealth and to
others who are interested in the schools of Kentucky.

Appreciation is expressed to public and non-public school super-

intendents and other officials for the provision of data for this
Bulletin.

The 1962—63 publication continues two of the innovations of last
YGar. First, it lists all public and non-public elementary and secondary
Schools regardless of the number of teachers in those schools. Next, it
Offers a district—by—district listing of administrative and supervisory
personnel, including chairmen of boards of education.

Included this year are the enrollments for each school. This
figure is the number of pupils who registered by September 10, 1962.

Although the production of this edition of the “Directory” was
Supervised by the Division of Statistical Services acknowledgment is
due to professional staff members and employees of several divisions of
the Department for the application of their special skills and for their

PGYSOnaI interest in the successful completion of this project.
