of students to learn the proportion that is likely to remain in school
during the summer quarter. It appeared that about forty per cent of
the current enrollment might continue in summer school. fig

On recommendation of Dean Boyd, the petition of Frank B. Hart “1
was approved. Mr. Hart was asking that he be allowed full credit for i
the courses in which he was passing when he withdrew during the winter
quarter to enter military service, although his withdrawal on March 2 ;
was two days short of the required eight weeks' period.

Also on recommendation of Dean Boyd, the petition of Mary Frances l
Hatfield was approved. Miss Hatfield was asking permission to take 3
Commerce 17b and 13b by correspondence, thus bringing the total of i
correspondence work during the senior year to 15% hours. This amount 5
is 6% hours in excess of the maximum of 9 quarter hours allowed by r
the rule. '
