 L§_g THANKSGIVING CONTRIBUTIONS
Thanksgiving, for most people, is a joyous time of year, and the LSQ
would like to help bring some joy into a needy family's life by providing
it with a basket of food.
This year, one of the local churches has provided the name of a
gentleman who has been ill and has already seen the inside of a hospital
more than one time. QQQ feels he and his wife would deeply appreciate our
V efforts to help them. Thanks to the generosity of the staff last year, a _
sick, elderly couple was able to enjoy better means until well into
January.
If you think you could contribute either a staple or some money,
please take it to Andrea Bryant, Business and Economics Information Center,
8-4644, or to Jean Robinson, Cataloging, 7-3831.

HOUSING AND POPULATION CENSUS REPORTS DELAYED
The Government Printing Office reports that as of October 31, 1980, no
1980 Census of Population and Housing Reports have been issued. The
preliminary reports are expected by the end of this year. However, the
advanced and final reports will be delayed 6 to 18 months due to pending
lawsuits (as a result of Detroit's charges of undercount). These
final reports will not be released until litigation has cleared the counts.
