COMMITTEES legislature.

WORK committees. some composed entirely of students, others composed of an equal
I number of students and faculty members. ln most instames, the chairmen of
these committees wlil be representatives from the legislature, but other members
will be chosen from the student body. Some of the sub-groups will deal with
finances, some with publications, others with discipline ,aml still others with

Although many forms of democratic government have been tried on this
campus. the constitution which goes before the students on September 25 gives

welfare, with the co-existent problems of teaching aml curriculum aml healthy
student-faculty relations. In fact, all matters which principally concern students
are decided with student guidance aml aid.

is welcome to meet and carrv on its activities, whether social, scholastic. religious or cultural. Everv
ls stttdent member of the Universitv becomes an active member of the Kentuckv Student Union at reg-
1l istration and is privileged to use the bttilding at all times.

l1 who are interested in the activities of the building and who make application to the Board of Direc- ;

- of students and the actttal working of it is carried on bv them under the direction of the Board of

I a list of those who qualified bv outstanding work on one ol the Service (Zomniittees the preceding

< The Board consists of six male stttdent members and three female student members, three facultv
members and the Unitm Director. This Board meets regularlv. discttsses the problems and needs of
the building and strives to act in the best interests of the stttdent bodv. Each stttdent member of the
{ Board is chairman of one ol the Service Committees and reports the progress made bv them to the
Board in regular meeting.
