Dotson, requesting that we request Thomas DeVenny Lodge Nb. 928, Freeburn, Ky.to give him the rest of his work, as a courtesy to our lodge. Secretary reported that we have a letter form our Grand Secretary, A. E. Ortan, stating that the Grand Lodge of Georgia had suspended William Tony Willis, a member of our lodge, for dealing in alcoholic beverages, and said letter from Georgia was read to the lodge. Their letter not only stated they had suspended but they were expecting to expell him at their Grand Lodge meetinfi in early October. Instructings were to consider him suspended as of their date and wait for futher instructions from the Grand Lodge of Georgia regarding his being expelled. Secretary reported that we had redeemed two series I bonds this week and thought we should invest some of our surplus money in more bonds. A motion was made and seconded that we purchase $5,000.00 Series E bonds, at a cost of $3,750.00, subject to approval of the finance committee. Motion carried.
