COMMITTEES Report of Bro. Arnold Holder, Chrm. of Activities
STD. & SELECT that arrangements had been made to have a family
night at Columbia's Steak House on Feb. 10, 1980.
Price for 100 persons to be about $9.79 per person.
Motion made and second to mail out to local members
a notice of Officers for 1980, calendar of events,
with all information on Feb. 10,_event with checks
to be sent to Bro. Holder, who will consignmate
this event. -

Bro. Holder also announced that his committee was
considering a Dinner—Dance in early spring to aid
in the Bldg. Fund.

Motion made and second that Bro. Holder and his
committee should make arrangements to have the event
at Oleika Mosque.

CORRESPONDENCE Bro. Secretary read a report on membership which is
attached to minutes. Report showed membership to
be 1298 as of Dec. 31, 1979.

decision of the Finance Committee that the M.T.A.
should give the Lodge, the latest financial state—
ment and the 1980 proposed budget before payment of
redistribution check.

Motion made and second that the M.T.A. be requested
:0 provide the Lodge with a copy of their latest
financial statement and a copy of their preposed
budget for 1980. Motion carried.

Bro. Arnold Holder reported that 131 were served at
the Feb. 17th. Dinner. And several contributions to
the building fund were received.

The Worshipful then thanked the committee for their
work in making the dinner such a success. And also
thanked the members of the M.T.A. for enlightening
the craft on the M.T.A.

DISTRESS Hart twice in the last 30 days. He said Bro. Hart
was a cancer victim. He then asked the committee

‘7:30 p.m. Lodge opened in form on the M.M. Degree,

with the above Officers and 28 others present.

Minutes of Feb. 18 & 29, 1980 and March 1, 1980
were read and approved after addition to Feb. 18th
minutes.

The petition for Initiation of Harold Ewing Willoughby
was received and committee appointed.

The petition for Initiation of Cecil William Holleran
and Charles Eugene Ritchie was received from committee
and ballot spread. The result of the ballot Cecil
William Holleran was rejected for membership. Charles
Eugene Ritchie was elected to receive the three
degrees of Masonry.

The Worshipful Master asked Bro. Charles D. Weaver,
Chrm. of the Jurisprudence Committee to report on
the Articles of Corporation on the M.T.A. and of their
right in stopping payment on a distribution check.
Bro. Weaver gave date when the M.T.A. Corporation
was formed and also their ammended activities and
duties.

Bro. Weaver then made the following motion.

I move that-the Worshipful Master demand of the
Masonic Temple Association, Pursuant to KRS 271A.26O
and KRS 273.233, an audited financial statement for
1979 and a proposed budget for 1980, to be received
by the Worshipful Master no later than Sunday April
1, 1980.

Motion second and carried unanimously.

Bro. Weaver then made the following motion.

I move that the Worshipful Master demand of the
MASONIC TEMPLE ASSOCIATION, Pursuant to their Articles
of Incorporation, a certified or cashier”s check in
the amount of $ 7278.33 to be delivered on or before
April 1, 1980.

Motion second and carried unanimously.

Bro. Weaver further stated," It is my recommendation

that if the MASONIC TEMPLE ASSOCIATION fails to

ely appoint a committee to study the severing our
ties with the MASONIC TEMPLE ASSOCIATION including
the sale of our stock and the securing of an
appraisal of it's value.

Bro. Secretary read a note of appreciation from
the family of Bro. Lawrence Potts. Also a letter
from the Grand Lodge to the Plain City Lodge # 499
asking for investigation on petition of Bro. & Mrs.
Rappolee for the Old Masons' Home.

The following bills were read and duly ordered paid.

Bro. Secretary announced the deaths of the following
Bros. Since our last meeting.

Bro. Oliver Wilkes Spieth, Bro. Ernest S. Hart,

and Bro. Thomas Dale Barnett.

In leiu of work Bro. Secretary introduced Bro.

Robert M. Wilhite (P.G.M.) who gave a very informative
talk on the Masonic Homes. After which he answered
questions from the craft.

Degree at the Kerr Bros. Funeral Home in Lexington,
Kentucky.

PURPOSE The Master announced that the purpose of this
called meeting was to confer Masonic Rites upon
one of our departed Brothers.

The craft then porceeded to confer the Last Sad
Rites upon Brother Lester Clay Wells a member of
Lexington Lodge #1 F.&A.M.

CLOSING 7:48 p.m. Lodge closed in ample form on the M.M.

to membership in Lexington Lodge #1, and Garry Neil
Walls was elected to receive the three degree of
Masonry.

THE ORDER Whitton regarding the request of Lexington Lodge #1, upon
the M.T.A. Bro. Mays also read the 1979 Financial State—
ment of the M.T.A., and their proposed budget for 1980.
Bro.Mays asked that this report be made apart of the minutes.
A distribution check for $7278.33 was presented to the Lodge,
and a like check requested to be returned to the M.T.A.
The Worshipful Master referred the matter to the Finance
Committee.
Bro. Secretary reported the following brothers reinstated to
goodstanding. Bro. Dayton Michael Butcher, Sidney Eugene
Mitchell, Eugene Leigh Gribbin, Eugene Branham, Joe Coons
Hardman, Jr., and Ralph Gordon Worster. ,
Bro. Ellis McCollum reported that the Degree Team would meet
for practice at 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
The Worshipful Master reported on the District #25 Education—
al Meeting. ,
9:02 p.m. Lodge called from Labor on the M.M. Degree to
refreshment, preparatory to opening on the E.A. Degree.

9:10 p.m. Lodge opened in form on the E.A. Degree.

Bro. Arnold Holder then examined the following brothers on

their E.A. proficientcy.
