Brother James Burns Patrick was born in Elamton, Kentucky on April 22, 1925. He was the son of

Brother Patrick married Monnie Wingo, whom he had known most of his life, upon returning to his
native state in 1946. In April, 1947, after being discharged from the Army, Brother and Mrs. Patrick moved
to Louisville, Kentucky.

with a life insurance company as an agent. A year later he was promoted to Field Superintendent and a year
later to District Manager. In 1956 he opened a general agency for the Southern Life Insurance Company
and opened the J. B. Patrick Agency, which he operated until his retirement.

BEAR HIM HOME

Bear him home, his bed is made
In the stillness, in the shade;
Day has parted, night has come,
Bear the Brother to his home, —
Bear him home.

Bear him home, no more to roam,
Bear the tired Pilgrim home;
Forward! all his toils are o’er —
Home, where journeying is no more, —
Bear him home.

— Rob Morris

As a tribute of love and respect for the memory of our departed brother, it is ordered that this
memorial be read in each Lodge of this Grand Jurisdiction at the next stated communication after its receipt

and that it be made a part of the records of the Lodge.

Given under my hand and seal of the Grand Lodge this day and year first above written.
