CHRISTMAS BAZAAR -l —
The LSO will sponsor a Christmas Bazaar on Thursday, December 3,
from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the King North Staff Lounge. Items available
for sale may include baked goods, handcrafts, Christmas decorations,
plants, etc. lf you wish to contribute something for the sale, now is
the time to be planning for it! Watch for further announcements!
ACTS MEETING
There will be an ACTS meeting on November 18, 1981 at 9 a.m. in the A
Gallery of MIK North. Please plan to attend! Coffee and donuts will be
sold prior to the meeting.
LSO THANKSGIVING CONTRIBUTIONS
This year the LSO is planning to make a food contribution to Betty
and Paul Ritchie from Nelson County. Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie are- a
l handicapped couple in financial straits who are currently at_U,K.
Medical Center. Bring a little joy into their lives and contribute to
the LSO food basket. A box will be placed in the staff lounge for
staples. If you wish you can contribute some money and several LSO
members will do some food shopping for them. Let's make this a nice
Thanksgiving for the Ritchies by being generous. Bring your money to
Jean Robinson or Loraine Bates in Cataloging or Joyce Welch in
Acquisitions or your food items to the Staff Lounge.
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECK
l ·· The Staff Development Committee will sponsor a blood pressure check
‘ on Tuesday, November 24, from l0 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Staff Lounge in
MIK North. This program is free so plan on taking advantage of this
service. h
V· LIBRARY FACULTY MEETING AGENDA
The next Library Faculty meeting will be on November 20th at 8:30
a.m. in the Gallery of MIK North. George Cunha will be on hand to
discuss his preservation report. Mr. Cunha asks that all present be
familiar with report. Because of its length the entire report cannot be _
distributed to every faculty member. The report is on reserve under }
Cunha at the Circulation Desk. All faculty members are encouraged to
read it before the meeting,
LIBRARIANS ON THE MOVE
Mary Davis of the Art Library is now in Special Collections working
on the Peale Collection. Charlie Atcher has gone to the Art Library nto
fill in for Mary. He will remain in the Art Library until the end of
the fiscal year.
