UNIVERSITY OF KEN'I`IQCI{Y
E OFFICE OF PRESIDENT
One step in the l`ar-reaching master plan to bring national football recognition to the liniversity of Kentucky
is the necessity of increasing thc patronage at the gridiron events to such an extent that inajor teains ol` the coun-
i try may be prolitalily brought to Lexington as the foes of the Wrildeats.
Full achievement of this goal was brought one step nearer to reality this year with the aid of the Lexington
Salesinenis Club. This public-spiritetl organization of business inen. at the request of [iniversity authorities, un-
rlertook the task of promoting the sale of season tickets throughout Eastern and Central Kentucky and it was
trcmcntlously successful in its efforts to fill the newly·enlargc¢l starlium.
\Vhile not all ol` the 35,000 available seats were soltl on a season basis. the nieinbers of the Lexington Sales-
lllL‘ll’5 Club deserve the sincere thanks of the University of Kentucky for their splendid eo-operation in selling a
major portion of the season tickets. It is only through the voluntary public service ol` such noteworthy civic organ-
izations that citizens of this great state will be able to witness football of a type that will bring credit to the State
and University.
The University of Kentucky Athletics Association thanks the- Lexington Salcsmen°s Club.
