in Casks, or for the inJury or decay of Green Fruit or Vegetables, Eggs, Trees and Shrubbery ; nor for the injury to the hidden contents of packages; nor for the loss in weight or otherwise of Grain or
Coffee In Ba 5; or for Rico in Ticrces; nor for the decay of Perishable Articles; nor for damage arisingto any article carried, from the effects of heat and cold ; nor for the loss of Nutsin Bags; or of
Lemons or ranges in Boxes, unlesscovered by canvas; or loss or damage to Goods occasioned by Providentlul causes; or by FIRE FROM ANY CAUSE WHATEVER while in transit or at Stations.

The Company is not responsible for acmdonts or delays from unavouiablo causes. The responsibility of this Company as it Common Carrier, under this Bill of Luding, to commence upon the
removal of the Goods from the Depot 1111110 Lars of the Compuuy. and to terminate when delivered to the next Currier, they being liable only for the rate of freight per 100 pounds, when forwarded
through by railroad or Water to pomts beyond their own line,

the Owner or Ilonsigiiee to pay freight or charges as per specified rates, by theweiglit as ascertained by the Company's Scales, upon the Goods as they arrive. Time not guaranteed.

offices at New York and London.

LONDON OFFICES.

The Company occupies the entire building at No. 13 Pall Mall, in
the heart of the fashionable portion of London, opposite the Athenteum,
'l‘ravelnrs‘ aml Reform Clubs, and W‘fll‘ the foot of Regent S‘reet, and
the principal Hotels and Theatres, and has fitted it up for the comfort
of its passengers and of the American traveling public generally.

The building is admirably adapted for the purpose, there being on
the ground floor a large office for givingunformation and booking
passengers. ()n the same floor is a comfortable smoking-room and
lavatory. Upon the first floor there is a large reading-room, furnished
with files of the principal American newspapers, Directories of the
principal American cities, and other books of reference needed by
travelers, with every convenience for writing letters, etc. There is
also a handsomely—fitted ladies’ room adjoining it.

.\ register will be kept of Americans in London who may call at
this office. Letters can also be addressed to the care of the Office.
and instructions left for forwarding them to the Continent or elsewhere.
A cable code is being arranged for the use of passengers by the Line,
for economy in telegraphing between London and the United States.

Americans staying in London for a long or short period, will have
the privilege of using these facilities.

The city offices of the Company, 99 Cannon Street and 76 Leaden—v.

hall Street. still remain in charge of Messrs. EIVES & ALLEN, and
berths may be secured and information obtained there as heretofor

NEW YORK OFFICES.

At New York the Company occupies the large brick mansion at
No. 6 Bowling Green,and extensive alterations have been made.

Upon the first floor are the general offices of the Lincy with a
spacious and thoroughly lighted and ventilated room for booking pas-
sengers, displaying plans of steamers, etc. There is also :1 Ladies’ room.

A very large room upon the second floor is devoted to the use of
travelers as a reading and writing room.

Letters addressed to the care of the office will be retained until
called for, or forwarded, according to instructions.
