( The UniverSity Senate met in regular session at 4 p.m. Monday, January '5‘ ”W

The Chairman reported that the President had given his permission to
cancel a regular meeting of the University Senate in the future if there was HR
2 no business to be brought to that meeting. The Chairman stated that the W

; discussion and information the campus plans, reports of the sub—committees :"
y and committees of the Senate, matters relating to the development of the
[ library, and any matters which the Senate membership might wish to have

MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY SENATE, FEBRUARY 7, 1966

 

 

 

‘ The University Senate met in regular session for the month of February
only at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 1966, in the Student Center Theatre.
Dr. Diachun, Vice Chairman of the Senate Council, presided. Seventy—two of
the total membership of 170 were present. The record of individuals in

attendance is made a part of the original minutes in the Secretary's office.

 

 

 

The minutes of January 10, 1966 were approved.

 

 

 

The Vice Chairman presented to the Senate Dr. Elbert W. Ockerman, Dean
of Admissions and Registrar, and the new Secretary of the University Senate.

The Registrar recommended approval of the list of candidates for degrees :4;
of December 22, 1965 which had been approved by the Board of Trustees at its '
meeting of January 21, 1966 contingent on subsequent approval by the Senate.
He also presented a brief breakdown of degree candidates by college. The g; y:
