Parents and Friends of Gays (PFOG) is established: 1. to develop and promote educational programs and activities designed to overcome general ignorance. . .fear and bigo— try. . .intolerance and misinformation pertaining to human sexuality; , 2. to help those who are seeking to understand and/or person— ally cope with various aspects of human sexuality; to support and preserve family relationships; 3. to challenge and change prevailing societal attitudes and distorted perspectives of human sexuality that deter and interfere with the happiness, emotional stability, and security of individuals and families; 4. to attain for homosexual persons and others who are subject to selective discrimination the same basic human and civil rights, liberties, and opportunities that are afforded to heterosexual persons; 5. to provide and promote educational programs that will ameliorate the discrimination and prejudices that permeate the policies and practices of health and social services providers. . .improving the quality and delivery of pro— fessional services by present and future ”people helpers.” There will be an organizational meeting on Monday, September 13, at 8:00 p.m. For further information, call the Gayline at 268—1166.
