cal employees, clerks, stenographers, bookkeepers, and other clerical employees on salary detailed to this mine.
Tu. Supplies (all supplies except power and fuel).—Report supplies used and properly chargeable to mine expense during this
period.
Tb. Power purchased.——This should include power purchased from utility companies and others.
7c. Mine fuel.—-Report mine fuel used by individual mine and company power plant for mine power as well as fuel used for
heating and drying purposes and house fuel when included in rental of company houses. Where for use of more than one mine, pro-
rate expense.
8a. Salaries and expenses of other employees at mines.—'l`his should include salaries and expenses of division superintend-
ents, general superintendents, division engineers, traveling auditors, mechanical engineers, and expenses of any central ofiice serving
more than one mine, all of which are not included in the total of Gd. Include in this account technical expenses contracted for
with outside concerns.
8b. Mine otlicc expense.—This covers the proration of expenses not included in Gd above from other offices, if any.
10a. Taxes on mine property and equipment (except unassigned acreage).—Report under this caption all real estate, personal
property, and other taxes in lieu thereof (ad valorem, etc.) levied on mine property and equipment. Where a company holds un-
assigned or reserve acreage that is 11ot attached to this mine, all taxes on such acreage should be excluded from this item.
10b. Insurance (ali classes except compensation and vocational disease).—Report all insurance premiums for fire, tornado, and
other classes of insurance, but excluding amounts representing compensation insurance. Where policy is for more than one mine,
prorate expenses.
10c. Depreciation.——-"C0mpute depreciation as determined by the Bureau of Internal Revenue in the computation of the Federal
income tax." Where 1·ate for depreciation has not been established by the Bureau of Internal Revenue attach a statement giving
full explanation of the rate used.
10d. Royalties paid or accrued.—Report tonnage mined on royalty basis, together with royalties due, accrued, or paid on leases of
all lands connected with the mines for which this report is made.
10f. Compensation insurance paid or accrued.—Repo1·t compensation insurance paid or accrued. Those carrying their own insur- A
ance should report the net amount of actual premiums paid and accruals.
10g. Vocational-disease insurance.——Report vocational—disease insurance paid or accrued. Those carrying their own insurance

10i. Deplction.—Report tonnage of coal produced on which a depletion charge is proper. Compute depletion “as determined by
the Bureau of Inte1·nal Revenue in the computation of the Federal income tax." Where rate for depletion has not been estab-
lished by the Bureau of Internal Revenue attach a statement giving full explanation of the rate used.
