PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBIT
"A Lot of Good and No Harm: 75 Years of Photography in Leslie County" A
will be presented by the University of Kentucky Photographic Archives,
August 16-September 30, 1980 in Special Collections, King Library
North, Monday through Friday 8-4:30 and Saturday 8-12. Originally
organized by the Leslie County Public Library, the exhibit represents
the work of ninety-one year old Nelson Huff who began taking pictures
in 1905 with a Brownie Box camera and is still an active photographer,
and twenty-nine year old Gabrielle Beasley who has been photographically
documenting contemporary Leslie County since 1975.

Sue Burrier, from the Dept. of Nutrition and Food Science. Her topic:
How to Make the Most Out of Your Food Budget.
ACTS MEETING
The annual meeting of ACTS will be held August 22 in the Gallery, King
North. Doughnuts and coffee will be served at 9:00 AM and the meeting
begins at 9:30. The full morning will be divided between a business
meeting and two special programs prepared by Special Collections and
Collection Development.
