     Minutes of the Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of
Kentucky, September 15, 1953.


     The Board of Trustees of the University of Kentucky met in the Presi-
dent' s Office at 10:00 a. m. CST, Tuesday, September 15, 1953, with the
following member present: Guy A. Huguelet, Vice Chairman. Absent: Gov-
ernor Lawrence W. WVetherby, Mrs. Paul G. Blazer, Harper Gatton, R. P.
Hobson, J. C. Everett, Herndon J. Evans, Paul M. Basham, Carl De'pe-
wolfe, Wendell P. Butler, Thomas A. Ballantine, Ben S. Adamr~s, M. W.
Moore, Smith Broadbent and Dr. Ralph J. Angelucci, President Donovan and
Secretary Frank D. Peterson were present.


     A. Recess for Lack of a Quorum.

     This was the regular statutory date for meeting of the Board of Trustees.
A quorum not being present, Guy A. Huguelet, Vice Chairman of the Board of
Trustees, recessed the meeting until 10:00 a. m., CST, September 22, 1953,
