SOLINET Representative to Visit Library _ ‘ .
Mr. Ken Thomas, a Southeastern Library Network representative,
‘ will be here on April 5 and 6.
The purpose of the visit is to enable the SOLINET staff in
Atlanta to learn more about our library and provide our staff
_ with an opportunity to comment and ask questions about SOLINET c .
and OCLC services and plans. This visit is part of a program of
- visits to each SOLINET Library during the next few years.
Mr. Thomas will make a special presentation to all interested
staff members on Thursday, April 6, from 9:00 — 10:30 am in the
Gallery.

The Library Staff Organization is sponsoring a lecture for all }
staff members on the famed Loch Ness Monster on Thursday, April I
6, 2:00 — 3:00 pm in the Gallery, King Library North. `The lecture-
will be delivered by Dr. Henry H. Bauer of the UK Chemistry ‘

Department. Dr. Bauer, who is an authority on Nessie, will
illustrate his lecture with slides and movie film. Following
the lecture, a reception will be held in the Solarium. The
lecture is open to all library staff members whether or not
they belong to the L.S.O.

the spring meeting of College and Research Section of K.L.A.
The workshop will be on "Organizational and Administrative
Issues in Academic Librarianship."
