Since you desire it much, Monsieur, the occasion, if you are a—
greeable, when I shall have the honor of seeing you at your home
(will be) Wednesday, day after teamowrow. In order to take full
advantage of your permission, I shall bring with me three of my
friends, whom you will not be averse, I think, to have brought to
you, and to see the list. 1. The Abbe de Fraguier. 8. Mr Piron,

my confrere, an Apollo; and a very amiable man, who knows very

perfectly the services of friendship. 3. Mr Aved the painter, who

has done my portrait.

So much for that while awaiting one of the first days of the new
year, which I cannot better begin than with you and M. Pore Brumoy.
We shall not have need of the coach in order to come. I will bring
these gentlemen , . in my ordinary carriage. It will be satisfactory
enough if they are seated outside. In the meantime my very best rem
