Dear Mr. Peal:

Franklin D. Roosevelt is still alive in the hearts and
minds of people everywhere regardless of political
affiliation. If you count yourself among the legion
of Americans who agree with us that his memory should
be kept alive, I ask you to join with us as a member
of the Honorary Committee of the Franklin D. Roosevelt
Birthday Memorial.

This Committee, to which the late Mr. Roosevelt bequeathed
his birthday, is an outgrowth of the Birthday Balls with
which America has traditionally honored our late President
each January 50th.

Since it has served to combat Infantile Paralysis, this
observance has been charged with a purpose and has grown
steadily year by year to a high position in our country.
With my assurance that membership carries with it no
Obligation, may I hope for your early acceptance of my
invitation to join the Honorary Committee.
