I. GENERAL OBJECTS.

1. To communicate general knowledge.

2. To have a continual reference in the prescribed order of study to the. circum—
stances and ultimate destination of Students.

3. To keep the Institution open during nine or ten months of the year.

III. CONSTITUTION AND GENERAL MANAGEMENT.

 IV. OFFICERS.

. Principal of each Department to be elected from among the Professors.
. Principal Secretary and Librarian.

. Assistant Secretary.

. Assistant Librarian.

V. BUILDING.

1. To be erected in a situation as central as possible, with regard to the metropolis.

2. To comprise a suitable number of Halls of Instruction, and other necessary
Apartments, with Library, Museum, and Reading Rooms.

3. No Residences to be provided for Professors.

4. The Secretaries and Librarians to be accommodated with Apartments.

VI. WAYS AND MEANS.

1. Upon the calculation that about £200,000 Will be required for the Building,

Furniture, Apparatus, Library, and Salaries, it is proposed that the mode of raising it be
by Shares of £100 each. ’ I
