INFORMATION SESSIONS — TIAA/CREF -
_ The Employee Benefits and Risk Management Division will conduct two
sessions on the Annual Report of Annuity Premiums and Benefits published
. by TIAA and CREF for calendar year ending December 31, 1981. This annual
report is mailed to all employees enrolled in TIAA/CREF. The sessions
are scheduled as follows:
5 April 14, 1981 9:00 a.m. Room 206 Student Center
April 15, 1981 1:30 p.m. Seay Auditorium
Interested employees should bring their copies of the most recent annual
report to the session.
LOUISVILLE ORCHESTRA TO PERFORM — Ap‘r‘i‘l 26
The Louisville Orchestra will perform a concert to benefit library resources
on April 26, 1981, at 2:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts. This per-
formance is made possible by a special grant from Citizens Fidelity Bank
and Trust Company in cooperation with The University of Kentucky Library
Associates and The College of Fine Arts. Proceeds from this concert will
strengthen basic resources and provide special materials for the fine arts »
Collections in the University libraries. Tickets are available from the
ticket office in the Center for the Arts, noon to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru
Friday, April 13-24.

The March membership drive for LSO was fairly successful. However, we y
still do not have as many members as we had last year. I would like to I
l urge you to join if you haven't already. We need your support to continue
the various LSO functions. It's never too late to join! Please pay your

Eight people responded to our initial announcement for LSO volleyball
teams. We thought more interest would possibly be generated if we ex-
panded the criteria to include staff members'& spouses or friends. If
you are interested & have a spouse or friend who'd like to join the fun,

BOOK SALE
A reminder that the LSO will be selling paperback books at the Library
Associates Book Sale, April 23-24, which will be held outside the King
Library. Any & all contributions will be greatly appreciated and can be
taken to Jessie Adams in Binding. We also need volunteers to work at the

The annual Intra-Library Softball Game and Picnic will be held on Sunday, `
May 3, l98l at 3:00 p.m. The game, between the Special Collections Super
Gnomes and the King South King Kongs, will be played on Seaton Center
Softball field #3 off of Cooper Drive. The picnic will be held at 5:00
p.m. in the adjacent picnic area. Additional picnic information will ap-
pear soon. Mark your calendars and plan to attend!
