THE_UNITED WAY QFLTHE BLUEGRASS CAMPAIGN 1979/1980
A thirty percent increase in donations over last year was not the goal set for
the Library staff for the 1979/1980 United Way Campaign, but that is exactly
what has happened. Not only did we exceed the donations goal by 20%, we had a
21% increase in the number of donors. A very sincere thanks to all who contrib-
uted to the effort. A special note of appreciation should be given to the
United Way Library Team for 79/80: Mary Davis, Evelyn Evans, Elizabeth Howard,
Peggy Lewis, Claire McCann, Sandra Muenks, Mildred Moore, Ruth Vaughn, and
Frances Williams. On behalf of the Library staff, I have sent a message to
Dr. Jim Chapman and Mrs. Judy Young thanking them for giving the Library effort
a boost at our annual coffee and awards presentation. I included the following
statistics:
1978/1979 1979/1980 Increase
Donations $2,436.50 $3.l69·50 39%
Donors 97 117 214
Again sincere thanks to all.
