The Staff Development Committee is sponsoring a repeat of the mini-
course "German for Librarians," taught by Karl Boewe from the Medical
Center Library. Continuing education credit is available through the
College of Library Science (MLA approved for 10 contact hours).
Classes will meet on Thursdays from 3 to 4 in room 602F College of
Nursing/Health Sciences Learning Center. The first session is on
February 12; the course will be completed on April 23.
BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE
Gerald Munoff, Director of Photographic Archives, in King Library,
will offer a non-credit course in beginning camera and dark room
processes and techniques on Tuesday evening, 6:30-8:30 p.m. from
February l7-March 31. This course will be held at Lexington Technical
Institute, Room 245. The cost is $40; students must supply their own
film and paper, LTI will supply chemicals. Contact Jim Embry, Room

;Based upon the results of their recent survey of the professional
staff, the members of the Policy, Guidelines, and Rules Committee
will be examining the Libraries' policies and procedures relating
to internal communication.
Of the 69 questionnaires circulated, 42 were returned. The results
