· Dear Janis,*
The students in my government documents class
in Library Science were unanimous in their praise
for the helpfulness of the Government Documents
Department staff. They felt that the difficulty
in using documents was mostly offset by the
willingness of the staff to help. They were most
appreciative. You and your staff gave each —
student a good role model for their own practice
as a librarian.
Perhaps they are silent with their praise, but
they leave the library with an appreciaton for and
a very good impression of the government documents
staff at M.I. King Library.
_ Sincerely,
. . Cheryl Jones

For Books are not absolutely dead
things, but doe contain a potencie of Life
in them to be as active as that Soule was
whose progeny they are; nay, they do
preserve, as in a violl, the purest eilicacie
and extraction of that living intellect that
bred them. I know they are as lively, and as
vigorously productive, as those fabulous
Dragons teeth; and being sown up and
. down, may chance to spring up armed men.
