THERE I SIT

Well...I‘m back....,I had planned to

travel some three thousand miles during the
past few weeks...lnstead..I travelled about

three miles...to the hospitalacand none of

my prepared speeches seemed to fit the bill

Believe me...everything I said in the
hospital was adlibbedao-oocooone-0.0100600

And yet...I did learn many things at
the hOSpital..I learned the intense joy
that can come merely from the absence of
pain..,I learned the great pride a man can
take in being able to walk by himself...,.
I learned that in a hospital..a patient is
served by hundreds of anonymous people who
work together for his Well—being...l lear—
ed that doctors rise early..and Work late.
I learned that friends are pretty wonderu
£111 peopleolooottttousoles-nounon.uuoueooooo

I also learned that man makes many
plans..and carries out only a few of them.
And then, he makes many plans again. And
that is how it has to beooooo-ocoooooo-ooo

Rabbi Tarphon said, "It is not inu
oumbent upon thee to complete the work,
but neither art thou free to desist from
it altogether.“ .

January was not at all what I had
pictured it to be, or what I planned for
it to be.....so I guess I will just have
to start making plans for February........

Incidentally....It was a strange feel-
ing...coming back..and finding out how

smoothly everything went during my absence

I always knew that you could get along
without me...but I didnlt want you to find

The Annual Sisterhood Fun— Raising Masked Ball
Is designed to unmask the repressions of all—

If you think you‘re too old to dress up for fun
You're revealing subconsciously ~ Your life is donel

If you feel that your dignity might be imnaircd
You‘d be wiser to dress it - than have it haredg

If you‘re intellect sneers at these low brow pursuits‘
You can come garbed as Nietzsche or wear Einstein‘s boots,

Whatever your reason for not wanting to dress
If you searched your subsconscious you'd have to confess

Down deep if the real you had just half a chance
You'd come masked in your dreams to the Sisterhood dance.
