MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY FACULTY, NOVEMBER 9, 1964

The University Faculty met in regular session at 4:00 p.m., Monday,

November 9, 1964, in the Student Center Theatre.

Chairman Weaver presided.

The Faculty approved a request to permit Mr. Gary Hawkesworth of
the Kernel to sit in the meeting.

The minutes of October 12, 1964 were approved as circulated.

Dr. William F. Wagner, Chairman of the Calendar Committee, reported
that the committee had reconsidered the modified version of the present—
type calendar which was circulated to the faculty under date of October
5, 1964; that the committee had found no basis to judge the new—type
calendar inferior or a failure; that a committee would need to study
its worth after an adequate period of trail in order to render an unbiased
judgment; and that the committee was recommending that the modified
version of the present-type calendar as already circulated be approved.
Following presentation of evidence in support of the present—type, as
well as the old—type calendar, the Faculty, by standing vote, approved
the recommendation of the Calendar Committee.
