Administrative Services
Please call Jeff Sauer (8~283l) for all requests/problems concerning
outstanding orders, supplies, repairs, the truck run, etc. A
. · Supply and Small Bqgipment Requests
Although supplies and small equipment were ordered last Spring for
July—Dec. 1978, Administrative Services is still receiving requests on
a daily basis. In order to save time by minimizing the paperwork,
stores and equipment orders will be placed only once a month. Requests
sent to Administrative Services will be held until the last working day ·
of the month when they will be reviewed in light of the Library's
current financial situation, and then orders will be placed for those
items which we can afford. All people will be notified as to the final
` decision on their orders. Supply money is extremely tight——we will
have half of what we had last year; please help by requesting only
those things which you feel you cannot do without. Thank you.
Work Study Students
Because the Director's Office receives numerous calls from people
trying to locate staff members, it is important that the D.O. have a
complete list of all people who work in the Library. Please send a
list of your work study students (plus any other students who work for
you but are paid through another department) to Ann Short. Thank you.

Classes
Anyone taking a class on library time should send a note to that effect
to the D.O. via the department head. If the class is longer than 3
hours, arrangements for making up the extra time should be included on
the note.
Truck Run Schedule
The Library truck run will be made M~F in the early afternoon (1:00 pm).
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it will be done by only one student, so it
may be a little slower on those days.

Anyone wanting funding for travel/registration for KLA should have his/
her request in to Faith Harders by September 20 when the money set aside
for this purpose will be divided among those who have requested funding.

Grade Eligibility Changes ~ The recent changes made by University
Personnel concerning the minimum education/experience levels for the
LT II positions also affect the salaries of many of the LT I's and
other people in the beginning grade for their series (clerk typists,
account clerks, etc.). People who have been in these positions at
least one year will have their salaries adjusted to the working level
for their grade (i.e., LT I's will be paid as LT II's, etc,). Those
staff members affected by this change will receive a letter giving them
the effective date of their new salary and grade shortly.
