_ Lexington, Kentucky.
My dear Dr. Rankin:
. I Please accept my sincere congratulations upon
your election as head of organized medicine. Having just com-
pleted my term as President of the Medical Society of the District
of Columbia, I can well appreciate, from my small difficulties,
the responsibility resting upon your shoulders. Those of us in
Washington, and especially your friends, recognize the fact that
the American Medical Association is to be congratulated upon your
election.
I want to express at this time my thanks for n
the reprint of your article, The Principles of Surgery of the
Colon.
If you are ever in Washington, I should be
delighted to see you at any time.
With kindest personal regards, I remain,
Most sincerely yours,
