Dear Fred: §
I wish to congratulate you on E
being elected to the Presidency of the American Surgical Q
Association which is the greatest honor that can be §
conferred on any surgeon. I am iore than pleased that g
' this great honor has been conferred on you. g
I am sorry that you were not at E
the meeting as I would liked to have seen you. Gertrude I
was with me. We drove to Quebec on the New York side through §
the Champlain Country where I had a boy's camp while at I
school. This is the first time I have gone through that 5
Country since 1912. We enjoyed the trip very much and also
Quebec which is the first time we have been there. I had
been told that it was mostly French but did not realize it
was almost entirely French. In fact, it is about the same i
as being in France.
Gertrude joins me in sending
kindest regards to Edith and yourself. We hope to see you
both sometime in the near future. I wish you could come
to Rochester.
Very sincerel ours,
I _ -#;>fi1i;;f“‘7 °”—"`“`
