TITLE II-C GRANT
The University of Kentucky is one of eight Southeastern ARL
Libraries sharing a Title II-C Grant for $800,000 to develop a regional
resource sharing system for current serials. The cooperative project
will result in a system which potentially could include all members of
SOLINET. The funds will permit the Libraries to create a data base of
current serials titles and to formulate plans to create a
computer-interpretable notation for detailed serials holdings, rapid
interlibrary loans, cooperative serials collection development, and an
outreach program to encourage greater regional participation.
Southeastern ARL Libraries Cooperative Serials Project Participants:
Emory University, University of Florida, Florida State University,-
University of Georgia, University of Kentucky, University of Miami, _
University of Tennessee, Virginia Polytechnic Institute hand State
University. The project will be funded from October” 1,. 1981 to
September 30, 1982. Florida will act as the principal participant and
coordinator of the project. Areas funded for Kentucky will include both `
professional and support staff, equipment, supplies, travel and FTU?s. »
NEW BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES LIBRARY HOURS
Beginning September 13th the Sunday hours for the Biological Sciences
Library will be 6 - 10 p.m.
COMPUTERS FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZE BUSINESSES
A workshop for computers for small and medium size business
sponsored by the Center for Professional and Executive Development will
be held on September 23 at the Holiday Inn North, I-75 and Newtown Pike.
